Administrative Assistant I

·Answer and transfer phone calls using a multi-line phone system and clerical duties (photocopying, faxing, emailing, mail sorting, etc. / Anticipate office supply needs and order accordingly / Provide general support to visitors and residents / Report maintenance work orders via computer / Monitor resident check-ins, emergency calls, and camera systems to ensure the well-being of our residents which often includes in-person follow-ups / Maintain computer and manual filing systems / Receive, sort, and distribute mail/deliveries / Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. / Develop and update administrative systems to make them more efficient / Coordinate repairs to office equipment.


·Proven work experience as an administrative assistant, front office representative, or similar role. / Extreme proficiency in juggling a multi-line telephone with a great customer service / Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines, copiers, and printers) / Candidate should have proficient computer and typing skills and should be proficient with Microsoft Office suite. / This position involves sitting, however, follow-ups, deliveries, and other tasks require an ample amount of walking and involves the use of stairs.

The senior residents at Good Shepherd Community enjoy a fine-dining experience on a daily basis and we are looking for a dishwasher to join our kitchen staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Putting up stock on delivery days and keeping stock room, refrigerator, & freezer in order; changing the grease and cleaning the fryer out; sweeping and mopping in the kitchen and dish room; taking out the trash and keeping the dock areas clean; must follow sanitation protocols and rules; and be willing to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed. The applicant must be able to able to meet the physical demands of the essential functions above in order to perform the job successfully including but not limited to, the ability to use a commercial dishwasher as well as wash specific dining items by hand, and lift approximately 50 pounds.

The applicant must be available to work approximately 7 AM-2 PM 5 days per week and 6-10 AM on Saturdays. Position is 6 days per week, 40 hours per week. $12.50/hour.

Good Shepherd is searching for a dependable individual to serve as a Maintenance Technician and Back-up Driver in our senior retirement community.

This individual must possess experience in a variety of maintenance skills and be capable of performing repairs on a wide variety of equipment which can include—electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other systems and subsystems operated by Good Shepherd. You will be responsible for completing work orders and other required tasks.


  • Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion / Estimate time and extent of repairS / Perform routine preventive maintenance;
  • Assist with maintaining material and inventory supply / Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary; and
  • Serve as a back-up driver to transport senior residents to and from; appointments as needed and as directed by the supervisor. (The Maintenance Superintendent will also assign other duties for this position as needed).


  • Previous verifiable experience in maintenance or other related fields / Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment;
  • Ability to handle the physical workload required by this position / Deadline and detail-oriented;
  • A clean driving record; and Exemplary customer service skills.

The work schedule is M-F, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. plus on-call duties in rotation approximately every 4th or 5th week. Pay rate: $15.50/hour

This position is a safety-sensitive position for the purposes of the medical marijuana amendment. Drug screen and criminal record check required.
