DISHWASHER

Good Shepherd Community is looking for a dependable dishwasher to join our kitchen staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Wash and clean tableware, dishes, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.  Keep dish room and equipment sanitized and organized, including sweeping and mopping duties; putting up stock on delivery days and keeping stock room, refrigerator, and freezer in order; changing the grease as needed; trash removal and cleaning dock area; must follow sanitation protocols and rules and be willing to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed. The applicant must be able to able to meet the physical demands of the essential functions to perform the job successfully, including but not limited to the ability to use a commercial dishwasher as well as wash specific dining items by hand, and lift approximately 50 pounds.

The work shift is a day shift, approximately 7 AM- 2 PM five days per week, and 6 AM to 10 AM on Saturdays. Includes weekend work, alternating days off and some holiday work. The pay rate is $12.50 per hour.

DRIVER

Good Shepherd Community is searching for a non-emergency driver to transport our senior residents to their scheduled appointments and group shopping excursions using Good Shepherd’s vehicles. (Not intended for CDL holders or delivery drivers)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Safely transporting residents to and from their scheduled appointments and scheduled shopping outings in a courteous and professional manner;
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained, kept clean, and properly serviced;
  • Assist residents with transferring in or out of the vehicle which often includes lifting walkers in and out of the trunk, and/or the use a lift for disabled individuals.
  • Coordinate as needed with the dispatcher and other driving personnel.
  • Must have attentive driving habits and the ability to remain calm when faced with an emergency.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Understand and comply with our distracted driving policy.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIRMENTS:

  • Must have a valid drivers’ license and clean driving record (no traffic citations for at least 3 years);
  • Experience in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation – 2 or more years’ preferred (training only for the right candidate)
  • Be able to work within time constraints according to a schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in working with elderly persons and/or individuals with disabilities preferred (wheelchair lift experience is a plus).
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Good Shepherd drivers must exercise good judgment and show flexibility when there are changes to routine or emergencies arising during their workday.  All duties are to be carried out with kindness and in a professional manner.

This is not a truck driver, nor delivery driving position.

HVAC MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Good Shepherd Community is searching for an HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our facilities maintenance crew:

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Must have current EPA certification; Previous experience in HVAC maintenance, refrigeration, and other maintenance-related fields; Possess strong troubleshooting skills, particularly on 5-ton A/C units or less; Must be able to maintain and repair condensing units and perform air handler change-outs;
  • Ability to handle the physical workload to complete the responsibilities the job requires; Experience with multi-family housing maintenance is a plus.

Skills:

  • Excellent Customer Service; Must be deadlined and detail-oriented; Must have the ability to access and use mobile facilities app (cell phone and training provided).

Responsibilities:

  • Complete work orders in a timely fashion; Estimate time and extent of repairs; Perform routine and specialized (HVAC) maintenance; Maintain materials and supply inventory.

The work schedule is M-F, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. plus on-call duties in rotation approximately every 4th or 5th week. $21.63/hour
