WELLNESS PROGRAM AND EVENTS

Good Shepherd's Wellness Center was established in 1998 through a grant from the Daughters of Charity and offers exercise
equipment specifically designed for senior adults. Wellness does not only mean being physically fit, but emotionally and socially healthy as well.  The program offers residents the opportunity to learn new skills, such as arts and crafts or develop new hobbies in a state-of-the-art computer lab.  The participants also maintain a garden with fresh herbs and vegetables.  The Center was the
recipient of a HUD National Best Practice Award for the year 2000.  Click here for additional photos.
