The Board of Directors of Good Shepherd Community invites you to join us on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 as we honor the leaders of our founding denominations: Reverend Anthony B. Taylor - Catholic Diocese of Little Rock, Reverend Larry Benfield –Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas, Reverend Dr. William F. Galbraith – Presbytery of Arkansas, and Reverend Gary E. Mueller – United Methodist Church of Arkansas.
Bishop Anthony Taylor of the Catholic Diocese of Little Rock will be presiding as honorary host at the 2013 Bishops’ Luncheon and our new United Methodist Reverend Gary E Mueller will be the keynote speaker. The luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at McDonald Hall at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew in Little Rock. The ecumenical leaders being honored on that date continue a long tradition begun by Bishop Andrew McDonald, Bishop Eugene Frank, and Bishop Christoph Keller who recognized the need in the 1970’s for affordable senior housing and set about to make it happen. They were committed to providing a faith-based environment that continues today where our older citizens could live with dignity.
Please consider purchasing a table of ten at $1,500 for this event honoring the current leaders of our founding denominations who have helped lead us on this remarkable journey. Individual tickets are also available for $150 each.
The bishops look forward each year to visiting with our friends and supporters at the Bishops’ Luncheon. Thank you for your consideration of assistance to Good Shepherd Community, and helping to honor the leaders of our founding denominations.
